Part of PBSI’s commitment to service excellence is the offer of a hardware maintenance agreement, where we bill an agreed amount, and we cover ALL hardware services at no charge. The PBSI Hardware Maintenance Agreement includes priority service, free loaners, guaranteed response times, and preventative maintenance. The agreement objective is to ensure system stability, eliminate unexpected large repair bills, and provide peace of mind that comes with knowing you can call on us for support.
Some people ask: Isn’t it less expensive to use time/material for system repairs?
The cost of repair is relative to the critical need for the equipment. In raw dollars having a unit repaired on a billable basis is sometimes less expensive. However, other less obvious costs are involved:
Downtime cost: What is the value of your time? What is the impact on your business when the computer is down? Maintenance agreement customers get the fastest response and repair time.
Degraded performance cost: When paying by time and material, many people are reluctant to place a service call, although the symptom may be much more serious than they realize. Problems that seem minor, and not taken care of, may develop into more problems down the line.
Increased risk: Although you may save money up front with time and material service, in the end, it could be more expensive. As many investors can attest, there is a value in reduced risk. A maintenance agreement reduces risk, fixes the maximum expense level for repairs, and protects your productivity
